Social Media Manager

Part Time (approx. 10-15 hours/week)

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing, creating, scheduling, and reporting on all social clients for 214 Interactive.


  • Content creation - responsible for creating all social post content, including graphics, based on client specials, events, and special requests.  

  • Responsible for creating content when client is unable to provide event or special information based on website information and/or industry news.

  • Create content calendars for client and manager approval in Google Sheets one month at a time

  • Schedule all content in social media scheduling system and posting manually when necessary.

  • Monitoring social media scheduling system to ensure posts are posting at the scheduled times and adjusting if errors occur

  • Meet with supervisor bi-weekly to discuss which posts are performing well, suggest budget for high performing items, photo requests, etc.

  • Potential for promotion to include paid social campaigns

This person needs to be a self-starter and able to work with little direction in times of high client volume.  The Social Media Manager should also be trustworthy with multiple, high-profile client’s login information and exercise discretion at all times.  Strong grammatical skills and attention to detail are vital.

The ideal candidate for this role will also be up-to-date on current social media trends, including hashtags, new promotional ideas, and fresh ideas for utilizing current social channels.  A witty sense of humor is also a huge plus.
